Joseph D. Thetford, Jr. has engaged in the private practice of law with the firm since 2013, primarily in the areas of business litigation, personal injury defense, real estate, and probate law.  Mr. Thetford is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts in southwest Alabama and regularly represents clients in trial and appellate matters.

Mr. Thetford is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, and the Mobile Bar Association.  He is also a participant in the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyer Program, which recognized his community contributions by awarding him the Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2015.

Mr. Thetford graduated from the University of Alabama in 2008, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics.  He obtained his law degree in 2012 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.  While attending law school, he was a member of The American Journal of Trial Advocacy.  Mr. Thetford was born and raised in Mobile and has lived in Baldwin County since graduation from law school.
